Aaron Pagniano is a gender non-binary, queer filmmaker from Central Florida. Their feature film It Need Eyes had a very successful festival run in 2025, winning Best Film at Portland Horror, Best Directors at Macabro FICH, Best Feature at AMT International, and more!
Their short films, including the horror/ comedy festival hit We Got A Monkey’s Paw have played dozens of festivals around the world and won multiple Best Writing, Best Short, and Audience Choice awards. Their first feature film, the horror/ thriller, Sunset on the River Styx is currently streaming on multiple platforms and available to own on DVD.
They believe that the factors that define our identities, inform our choices, and shape our lives are far more complicated than we as a species can ever comprehend and seek to explore that through their art. A lover of fiction and fantasy, Aaron knows that movies and tv can be a window into another world but, more importantly, they can provide a different perspective on this one. They believe it is their duty and responsibility to empower the voices of underrepresented and oppressed people both on and off screen.
They also love board games, Italian food, and backpacking.
